LA Galaxy are reportedly planning to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic with former Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina striker Mauro Zarate.
Ibrahimovic’s contract with the Galaxy expires on December 31, and the Swedish veteran seems to be on his way out of the MLS club.
According to TyC Sports, their coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto has specifically requested Zarate to fill the impending void in his attack.
Barros Schelotto managed his fellow Argentine at Boca Juniors last season, and the 32-year-old may opt for a new experience after an inconsistent spell back home.
He is best known in Italy for his time with Lazio between 2008 and 2013, scoring 34 goals and providing 27 assists in 126 appearances.
The attacker also had stints with Inter and Fiorentina.
