Matteo Politano faces around a month out after the Inter winger suffered an ankle injury.
Politano broke down as a substitute during Inter’s 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Now, a medical report on the club’s official website has confirmed “a sprain in his left ankle” and that he will need attention for “the next few weeks”.
The 26-year-old will consequently miss the upcoming international break with Italy, as well as the Nerazzurri’s games against Verona, Torino and SPAL, plus the crucial Champions League clash with Slavia Prague.
He also faces a race against time to be back for the Serie A match against Roma on December 6.
