Gazidis: 'Milan back to being a big club'

Ivan Gazidis said they are “working every day” and hope this weekend’s clash with Juventus can “help put Milan on the path back to being a big club.”

The Rossoneri are languishing mid-table after their worst start to a Serie A season since three points were introduced for a win in 1994.

At the presentation of a new book on the history of the club, Gazidis spoke to reporters.

“We learned a lot today about the history of the Milan, but as a club we now want to create a new history,” said Gazidis.

“Our team is young and is growing. We lost to Lazio, but there was an opportunity to start believing. We’ve got to focus on the present and I love this kind of opportunity.”

There is a very tough test for them this weekend, a trip to the Juventus Stadium against the Serie A leaders.

“We are playing against the best Italian team. I am convinced we can put in a strong performance against Juve. I think this kind of match can help put Milan on the path back to being a big club.”
