Valerio Verre’s penalty had put Verona in front at San Siro after just 19 minutes, but Matias Vecino’s header and a magnificent Nicolò Barella curler turned it around for 2-1.

“We gave all we possibly had today, but could just have done better in the second half with some of the counter-attacking situations,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“I think my lads gave everything in this game and it’s disappointing to lose, especially to a world class goal we couldn’t have done much about.

“We had some promising counter-attacks, but needed more quality to really make the most of those situations and hurt Inter. I tried to push the whole team forward in the second half and press Inter more, but it wasn’t easy.”

Having now faced both sides, who is Juric more impressed by in the Scudetto race?

Juventus and Inter are completely different teams. Juve have more quality, but give you the room to play a bit more, whereas Inter are tougher and more intense.”
