Milan are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielders Lucas Torreira and Granit Xhaka as Ivan Gazidis considers a raid on his former employers.

Torreira has managed just four Premier League starts for Arsenal this season, and Tuttomercatoweb writes his agent will travel to England this week to discuss his future with club officials.

The Uruguayan joined the Gunners from Sampdoria in the summer of 2018 and played a key role in their run to the Europa League Final last season.

The Uruguayan joined the Gunners from Sampdoria in the summer of 2018 and played a key role in their run to the Europa League Final last season.

However, he is described as TMW as being “unhappy” with his situation at Emirates Stadium this term.

The 23-year-old was strongly linked with Milan over the summer months, and the website expects the Rossoneri to pounce again if the opportunity presents itself.

As for Xhaka, Swiss broadcaster RSI claims their countryman is “close” to signing for the Diavolo and would already be looking for a home in Milan.

The 27-year-old seems all set to leave Arsenal in January, having been stripped of their captaincy and not played since October 27.

He could fit the bill for a Milan side who are perceived to have never truly replaced Tiemoue Bakayoko’s steel in the middle of the park.

Gazidis knows the pair well after he oversaw their arrivals in North London, prior to becoming CEO of the Rossoneri in December 2018.
