Emre Can could leave Juventus this January, currently struggling to claim a place in the first team under Maurizio Sarri.
After an injury nightmare at the start of his career in Turin, he never quite managed to show his worth to the Bianconeri, and now he is reportedly deemed surplus to requirements in a strong Juventus side that added Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey to their midfield this summer.
Calciomercato.it reports that Juventus might be willing to listen to offers this winter, but won’t be hoping to claim the full €50m release clause that will be activated next summer.
The former Liverpool star came on a free transfer in July 2018, but has only played 150 minutes during four matches this season. His only start came against Lecce on October 26 and might be on his way when the transfer market reopens in January.
The report is claiming that it will take a €30-40m offer to prise the 25-year-old away from the Allianz Stadium this winter.
Juventus are league leaders in Serie A, with a one-point advantage over second placed Inter, and will face Atalanta in Bergamo when they return to action after the international break.
