The 19-year-old has had a tough start at Everton, who might be looking to loan him back to Italy in January – with Sampdoria and Milan already mentioned as possible suitors for the Italy international.

Now, the Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Gianluca Petrachi would like to bring Kean to the Italian capital, bringing him closer to his friend and previous Azzurrini teammate Nicolo Zaniolo.

They have both climbed into the senior squad through their performances, but Kean was not called up for the last two Azzurri matches in the Euro 2020 qualifiers after turning up late to team meetings.

Everton might be ready to loan out the Italian striker this January, as he is yet to score for the Toffees after his €33m move from Juventus last summer.

Roma are short on forward options after injuries to Nikola Kalinic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
