Roma CEO Guido Fienga has been formally appointed to the club’s board.
Fienga’s promotion had been common knowledge since January, but it was made official at a board meeting this morning.
“The Board of Directors of AS Roma SpA, which met today, resolved to appoint Mr. Guido Fienga - through co-optation - as a new member of the club’s Board of Directors,” read a Press release.
“The Board of Directors also resolved to appoint Mr. Guido Fienga as CEO, granting him relative powers for the ordinary management of the club.”
In June it was reported Fienga was on his way out of the Olimpico after having been dragged into the controversial departures of Daniele De Rossi and Francesco Totti.
Roma are currently sixth in Serie A and look to bounce back from consecutive defeats when they face Brescia at home after the international break.
