More records for Mancio's Azzurri

Following Italy's comfortable win over Armenia tonight in Palermo, Roberto Mancini's men have broken more records.

The Azzurri have now recorded more wins in a single calendar year than any other.

The record stood at nine victories (set in 1990, 1994, 2000 and 2003), but tonight's result has set this year apart with 10 success stories.

As of tonight, only Italy and Belgium finished the group stage with 100% records in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Only Belgium and England, with +32 and +27 respectively, had a better goal difference than Mancio's side (+25) going into the final game, but the Azzurri now sit on +33.

Italy have also won 11 games in a row, another all-time record, and in recent days Mancini overtook Vittorio Pozzo's long-standing record of nine, that was achieved in 1938-39.
