Everton forward Moise Kean admits he “made a mistake” and insists he is ready to move on and fight for his place in the Premier League.
The Italy international has been linked with a move back to Serie A after a tough start to life at Goodison Park. He has lately been punished for tardiness, as he was dropped by both club and national team.
The former Juventus starlet bounced back with a brace for the Azzurrini against Armenia, and is now looking to do the same at Everton.
“I made a mistake,” Kean told the Corriere dello Sport. “Now I must put my head down and work hard.”
The 19-year-old admits it has been a difficult period, but is adamant that he will adapt to the English lifestyle soon.
“The Premier League is a very different championship to Serie A,” he added. “I need time to adapt. If I have to focus on an immediate objective, it must be to claim a place in the starting line-up at Everton and work towards this.”
Despite the ongoing reports on him looking for a return to Italy after only a few months, and the loan deal links with both Roma and Milan, Kean denies he has been thinking about his options.
“I’m not thinking about the transfer market, there are others who do that. I am only looking at what happens now, I just want to train and play,” he underlined.
