Brescia President Massimo Cellino admits Mario Balotelli “hasn’t been smiling since Verona” after he controversially walked out of training yesterday.

Balotelli was involved in an alleged bust-up with Brescia boss Fabio Grosso, who told the striker to leave, having understood to be less than impressed with his attitude.

“I wasn’t there,” Cellino told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Grosso didn’t call me; I have to assume that there aren’t any problems. Anyway, Mario hasn’t been smiling since Verona.”

The ex-Leeds United and Cagliari owner was referring to his team’s 2-1 defeat to Verona on November 3.

On that occasion, the 29-year-old suffered racial abuse at the hands of Hellas supporters.

The club was initially handed a partial stand closure, before it was suspended on Thursday pending further investigation.
