Torino boss Walter Mazzarri says he is ignoring his Inter past ahead of facing them in Serie A tomorrow.
Mazzarri coached Inter between May 2013 and November 2014 but with little success as a fifth-placed finish was followed by the sack months later.
Nonetheless, he asserted at a press conference: "I'm not thinking about the past, I'm thinking about facing Inter, one of the best teams in the League.
"When you face the second-best team in the League, you are subconsciously fired up more than usual."
The former Watford boss was also full of praise for opposite number Antonio Conte, reiterating his claim that they get on very well.
"I remember when I was at Reggina, people used to tell me that coaches who got very agitated in their dugouts would never coach big clubs.
"He's had an extraordinary career. We have an excellent relationship, one of mutual respect.
"However, tomorrow we will try to do things in our interests of our team."
Torino are without several key players through injury, namely Iago Falque, Diego Laxalt, Lyanco and Kevin Bonifazi.
