Inter are waiting for test results after Nicolò Barella limped off with a sprained right knee during tonight’s match with Torino.
The Italy international suddenly went down after attempting a backheel flick and seemed to be in extreme pain.
It occurred just before half-time at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino under driving rain.
Barella immediately told Nerazzurri medical staff he “felt the knee go click.”
A statement from Inter confirmed Barella has a sprained right knee and more tests will be performed over the weekend to ascertain the extent of the damage.
It is not the news that Antonio Conte wanted, having already lost Stefano Sensi, Roberto Gagliardini, Kwadwo Asamoah, Matteo Politano and Alexis Sanchez.
