Manchester City are sending talent scouts to watch Brescia and Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali in action against Roma today.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Nicolò Schira, representatives from the Premier League champions are expected at the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon.

The reason for their visit is Tonali, as the 19-year-old is having an excellent first season in Serie A after helping Brescia to promotion last term.

He has scored one goal and provided two assists in 11 Serie A games, but also has three senior Italy caps under his belt already.

Compared to the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Daniele De Rossi and Gennaro Gattuso, Tonali combines silky skills with a rugged tackling style.

He has already been linked with Inter, Napoli, Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
