Cristiano Ronaldo returns to the team for the first time since he stormed off angrily at being substituted, as he was rested against Atalanta.

“It’s all in the past now, as the coach said, a player getting angry at being substituted is also a positive sign. After all his trophies, individually and with teams, he retains that incredible desire to keep winning,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are all calm and focused on the game, there are no issues.”

Paratici was asked about Maurizio Sarri’s style of football, which doesn’t seem to be visible yet in a Juventus side more focused on grinding out results than entertaining.

“I fully agree with Sarri, as people need to treat the situation with greater balance. If a team has too many players, the media complains. If we have 11 players and that’s it, they complain we have no strength in depth. It’s a balancing act.

“It’s a very difficult job, so I agree that Sarri has an idea of football, but can’t force things through too quickly, as he has a team that was accustomed to something different.

“We play some games better than others, but we earned some very important results and for now that will do.”
