They visit Ukrainians Shakhtar Donetsk and are currently on four points and bottom in Group C – where three teams are fighting for a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament.
If Dinamo Zagreb manage to win their game against Manchester City, all hope is lost for La Dea.
Atalanta’s fate depends on the result not going in Dinamo’s favour in Manchester, as they may still go through with a win over Shakhtar – who are in the best position currently in second place.
A win would at the very least guarantee Atalanta third place in the group and passage into the Europa League.
