Torino boss Walter Mazzarri has admitted that Andrea Belotti is a major doubt to face Genoa tomorrow.

The Granata are on a poor run of form at the moment, with only one win in their last five Serie A games, the most recent of which ended in a 3-0 home defeat to Inter.

“Against Inter we had 60 percent possession, but what we were missing was the right decision-making in front of their goal,” Mazzarri said at a press conference.

“Against Inter we had 60 percent possession, but what we were missing was the right decision-making in front of their goal,” Mazzarri said at a press conference.

“We need to do better. For me we are working well and we are all together, although it’s clear that we need to improve in our defensive play.”

The former Inter coach was then asked about Belotti’s condition, with a knee problem from the loss to Inter still troubling the club captain.

“You know how important [Andrea] Belotti is for us. We will try up until the last minute to get him ready for the game.

“This week he didn’t train with the group, he trained alone. Tomorrow will be the final test.”
