Italy could find themselves in a tough group in today’s Euro 2020 draw, despite Roberto Mancini’s men being in Pot 1, including France and Portugal.

The draw takes place at 17:00 GMT in Bucharest and the Azzurri are top seeds after a flawless qualifying campaign that saw them go through with a 100 per cent record.

We already know Italy will be in Group A and will play all of their games in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The draw takes place at 17:00 GMT in Bucharest and the Azzurri are top seeds after a flawless qualifying campaign that saw them go through with a 100 per cent record.

We already know Italy will be in Group A and will play all of their games in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

They could potentially be drawn in an extremely tough group, alongside World champions France, European champions Portugal and Aaron Ramsey’s Wales.

However, qualification to the tournament will not be finished until March 31, so as of today, the Azzurri may not know the full extent of their group, as they may draw a team from Pot 4 who has yet to qualify.

Pot 2: France, Poland, Switzerland, Croatia, the Netherlands, Russia,

Pot 3: Portugal, Turkey, Denmark, Austria, Sweden, Czech Republic,

Pot 4: Wales, Finland

Winner play-off Path A (Iceland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania)

Winner play-off Path B (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland)

Winner play-off Path C (Scotland, Norway, Serbia, Israel)

Winner play-off Path D (Georgia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Belarus).

The tournament kicks off with Italy’s first game in Rome on Friday June 12.
