A “very happy” Theo Hernandez admits Milan “needed” the three points against Parma after scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory.

Despite Milan having almost 30 attempts at goal, the match at the Tardini looked like it would end as a stalemate.

However, Hernandez stepped up in the 88th minute to secure a second win since Stefano Pioli took over in October.

“I’m very happy I scored this goal,” the left-back told Rai Sport. “This win was needed.”

Milan are now 11th in Serie A and the summer signing from Real Madrid felt they deserved to beat Parma overall.

“It was a win that this group deserved,” he added.

“The ball just wouldn’t go in but, in the end, I managed to gift Milan the three points.”

The Rossoneri, who travel to Bologna next, are currently 11 points behind fourth-placed Roma.
