Cagliari are forced to make changes against Sampdoria, with Robin Olsen and Fabrizio Cacciatore banned after the late drama against Lecce last Monday.
Rolando Maran will most likely go for a 4-3-2-1 formation for the home side, but he will have to recall Paolo Faragò at right-back, whilst Rafael will be in goal for the high-flying Rossoblu.
The hangover of the 2-2 draw at Lecce carries over into this match as Luca Pellegrini is a doubt at left-back, with Charalampos Lykogiannis ready to step up if need be.
Lucas Castro should also be available for Maran, although Nahitan Nandez, Luca Cigarini and Marko Rog are expected to get the nod in the middle of the park.
The attack shouldn’t change from last time out, Radja Nainggolan seemingly ready to play despite being forced off with a knock to the head at the Via del Mare.
Samp, meanwhile, are without Andrea Bertolacci and Fabio Depaoli, the pair still struggling from the 2-1 win against Udinese.
Claudio Ranieri also has a defensive dilemma on his hands, with Bartosz Bereszynski also out. Therefore, Alex Ferrari is likely to move out wide, with Jeison Murillo in the middle.
Fabio Quagliarella and Manolo Gabbiadini will lead the attack, whilst Karol Linetty and Jakub Jankto will hold the midfield together in a classic 4-4-2.
Both sides have been in good form of late, although Cagliari are looking to bounce back with a win after throwing away victory at Lecce.
Cagliari (probable): Rafael; Faragò, Pisacane, Klavan, Pellegrini; Nandez, Cigarini, Rog; Nainggolan, Joao Pedro; Simeone
Sampdoria (probable): Audero; Ferrari, Murillo, Colley, Murru; Ramirez, Ekdal, Vieira, Jankto; Quagliarella, Gabbiadini
