There’s more trouble brewing at Napoli, as an agent complained Carlo Ancelotti is wasting Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Elseid Hysaj. “It makes no sense to remain.”
Former Empoli man Di Lorenzo has been used as a surprising stop-gap in several roles this season, playing at right-back, left-back, centre-back and most recently as a winger.
“It’s not good seeing him shuffled around all over the place. The whole team seems to be disoriented,” agent Mario Giuffredi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Di Lorenzo’s role is right-back and that’s what he ought to be doing, otherwise he’s being played out of position and cannot give his best.
“If Mario Rui was exhausted and needed rest after the Liverpool game, then surely Hysaj could’ve played on the left of defence? It would’ve created the right defensive balance. All we can do is accept the decisions of the coach and carry on.”
Giuffredi also represents Hysaj, whose contract is running down at the Stadio San Paolo.
“We have not made any decisions yet, we are in Napoli’s hands. If Ancelotti’s decisions are to move Di Lorenzo on to the left and play Nikola Maksimovic on the right, then frankly it makes no sense for Hysaj to remain.
“If the club isn’t interested in using him, then he ought to be allowed to leave.”
The Albania international has been strongly linked with Roma and Juventus.
