Crystal Palace have reportedly been testing the waters at Milan regarding a loan deal for Fabio Borini this winter.
Evening Standard claims Palace boss Roy Hodgson has sounded out the 28-year-old as a target for January.
The newspaper writes that the Eagles will try to take the forward on loan, particularly given he qualifies as a homegrown player.
He moved to London at the age of 16, signing for Chelsea, and moved to Milan in 2017 after later spells at Liverpool, Sunderland and Swansea City.
Borini has struggled to establish himself in the Rossoneri’s starting XI this season, but it is warned Palace could face competition from other Premier League clubs.
