Milan Skriniar was “a little disappointed” with Inter’s goalless draw against Roma, especially after an improved second half.
Romelu Lukaku and Matias Vecino forced tough Antonio Mirante saves at San Siro, but it was the first time this season in all competition that the Nerazzurri failed to find the net.
“We are a little disappointed, as I thought we put in a good performance, created enough chances and should’ve won it, even if Roma are a good team,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“I was not angry at the result, just disappointed, but these sensations are helpful in football.”
Roma had more possession in the first half, but the Nerazzurri took control after the break.
“In my view, we were a little too deep in the first half, but we pressed harder and higher up after the break, which took some of the pressure off.”
Inter host Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and could still book their place in the Round of 16.
“Barcelona always play to win, no matter the situation, and we must do the same. We’ve got to give our best to achieve qualification.”
