Raiola: 'Ibrahimovic free to choose'

Agent Mino Raiola won’t be swayed on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s next destination, but “Serie A would increase its appeal” with his return.

The striker is a free agent after his contract with the LA Galaxy ran down and has dropped multiple hints he is heading back to Italy, where he already represented Juventus, Inter and Milan.

There are clubs lining up for his services, above all Milan, Bologna and Napoli.

“I’m staying on the fence, we’ll see what happens,” Raiola told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We are free men, we can make our choices. I won’t rule out anything, including an early retirement, but that seems unlikely, as Ibra is still in great shape.

“He could choose to go abroad, there’s nothing to say he has to come back to Italy, so why not?

“Of course, if Zlatan were to return, Serie A would increase its appeal, both as a spectacle and a television product. Can you imagine how many countries would tune in every weekend…”
