Juventus announce Rodrigo Bentancur has no knee ligament lesions, but he “will be evaluated day by day.”
The midfielder limped off during last night’s 3-1 Serie A defeat to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
There were concerns he had damaged the medial collateral ligament in the right knee following a knock.
However, tests showed only a strain to the ligament and no lesions.
“Following the diagnostic tests carried out this morning at J|Medical, this is the player's diagnosis, who was forced to leave the action early in last night's game,” read a statement.
“During the match against Lazio, Bentancur suffered direct bruising with consequent distraction of the medial collateral ligament of the right leg.
“Today, he underwent treatments and recovery. The player will be evaluated day by day.”
