The Viola are plunging down the Serie A table after their fourth consecutive defeat, falling 2-1 at Torino this afternoon.

President Rocco Commisso was in the stands of the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and when asked what will happen with Montella, he simply shrugged.

This sparked reports Gennaro Gattuso was ready to come in, but Pradè told reporters in the mixed zone that was not the case.

“It’s a very tough moment, we didn’t expect this. The team had a sluggish approach to the game, but we can take the reaction of the second half as a positive. We can only hope the next two games are better.

“The coach knows full well this is a problem we must evaluate together. The President has given him the utmost confidence, now we’ll see what happens over the next two matches.

“I can confirm Montella will be on the bench against both Inter and Roma. This is not the time for regrets, we want to become a potentially strong team. We hope to become like Lazio and Atalanta.

“It is worrying looking at the standings, because we are not used to being so low.”
