Returning Brescia boss Eugenio Corini knows the win over fellow strugglers SPAL was very important and Mario Balotelli can “do everything.”

The Rondinelle secured the victory with a goal from Balotelli in the second half and Corini acknowledged its significance.

“For us they are three important points, on a tough pitch and against a difficult team. There is still a long way for both teams to go. Today the most important thing was getting the result," said the coach in his press conference.

“The team did very well. I saw the desire to work together and this is a very important thing.

“The only negative was not finishing the match off sooner.”

Balotelli scored for only the third time this season, but Corini is encouraged by what he saw from the striker.

“I think that he demonstrated to himself that he can do everything, and we have to give consistency. Now we must work on this.”

Brescia’s win lifts them off the bottom of the table and they still have a game in hand to be played against Sassuolo.

It is Corini's first game in charge after being re-hired following the dismissal of Fabio Grosso, who lost all three matches at the helm.
