“We are sad that we went out, but have no regrets, because we did everything we possibly could,” the defender told Sky Sport Italia.
Inter had the chances to go through, leading away to Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund only to lose those games.
“There’s no point looking back now, it’s all done and dusted. We have to focus on the future and the games we have coming up.
“Difficulties should make us stronger, but obviously for now it’s a fresh wound and we feel sore.”
