Franck Kessie insists it is “a dream come true to play for Milan” and has no intention of leaving, but that is not the message put out by his agent.

“I am happy with Stefano Pioli, just as I was with all the coaches I worked with at Milan,” the Ivorian told Sport Mediaset.

“We had a few slip-ups at the start, but we’re improving now and I think Champions League qualification is still up for grabs.”

Kessie has repeatedly been linked with a move away from San Siro, most recently to Napoli, especially with Gennaro Gattuso’s arrival.

“If I had wanted to leave, I already would’ve done. I want to stay here for many years, as I supported the Rossoneri since I was a child. It’s a dream come true for me to play for Milan and I will always give my best for these club colours.”

However, agent George Atangana has a different take on the situation when speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss today.

“There were negotiations a few years ago and Kessie was on the verge of joining Napoli, but then nothing came of it. I see him at Milan, but I won’t rule anything out. The January transfer window is coming up, so if an offer were to come in, we’d take it into consideration.”
