Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly in Liverpool today for talks with Everton over the management job less than a week after he was fired by Napoli.
Arsenal have also been linked with the former Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Milan coach, but they seem to be going for Mikel Arteta.
According to Sky Sport Italia, The Guardian and more, Everton have made direct contact with Ancelotti and are discussing terms.
He flew in to Liverpool for face-to-face negotiations this afternoon and has been offered a contract to June 2022.
They are currently under caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson, having dismissed Marco Silva on December 5.
Ancelotti was fired just hours after securing Napoli’s place in the Champions League Round of 16 with a 4-0 win over Genk.
He was replaced by Gennaro Gattuso, who had been his midfielder at Milan.
If Ancelotti is to work again this season, it will have to be outside of Italy, because Serie A rules forbid a coach from holding positions with two different clubs in the same campaign.
