Inter forward Andrea Pinamonti could reportedly end up at Roma after experiencing a difficult time on loan at Genoa.

Genoa are struggling in the bottom three of Serie A this season and the 20-year-old is not helped by the difficult situation at Marassi.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are interested in bringing the former Inter starlet to the capital as backup for Edin Dzeko.

With SPAL standing firm over Andrea Petagna, the newspaper claims he could replace Nikola Kalinic, whose stay has been beset by a lack of form and fitness.

His season-long loan to Genoa included an obligation to buy for €18m next summer, but the Nerazzurri have a gentleman’s agreement in place to take him back to San Siro.

With that in mind, Tuttosport states the Nerazzurri may opt to bring that forward to January, given their lack of attacking options.

Pinamonti has played 14 games and scored two goals this term for Genoa, who are currently four points adrift of Serie A safety.
