“It’s going to be very important to end this 2019 on a high,” defender Bastoni told Inter TV.

“We are missing a few players, but it doesn’t matter, as we believe in ourselves and can count on our teammates.

“An aggressive attitude will be the key, both in front of goal and in defence.”

As for Genoa, midfielder Radovanovic admits they are struggling after a Derby della Lanterna defeat to Sampdoria.

“It’s a difficult moment for us, above all in terms of results that don’t reflect our performances, but we believe in our football.

“We came here to San Siro in order to play with courage, showing no fear of the opposition. We’ve been unlucky too many times this season and want to end the calendar year on a high.

“Then we can rest and recharge the batteries over the Christmas break.”
