The Rossoblu raced into a 3-0 lead against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare, but wasted a handful of chances before the home side scored twice to make the scoreline look a lot less comprehensive.

“I think we are a team that scored a lot of goals, even going back to last season. We have problems when we let the opposition have the ball, but we have 12-13 players who have scored this season.

"Today we could’ve had seven or eight goals," said De Leo in his press conference.

Coach Mihajlovic got into a verbal sparring match with Gary Medel, his own player, and De Leo concedes the Bologna boss thrives off of tension.

“He wants tension right until the last minute. From this point of view he doesn’t need any motive. He likes to start a game with adrenaline.

“His way of doing things is one way to make us better. We controlled the game without giving the ball away, and we definitely could’ve capitalised more.”
