Carlo Ancelotti is eager to work with Moise Kean at Everton, claims "ambition" led him to the job but admits he doesn’t know where Zlatan Ibrahimovic will go.

The three-time Champions League winner was unveiled as Everton’s new coach at a press conference on Monday morning, where he confirmed his desire to take the Toffees back to the top of English football.

“The biggest factor was the ambition, the history of the club, the atmosphere and the supporters,” explained the 60-year-old. “Also, the club wants to improve and compete.

“I like teams that have ambition and want to achieve success. The training ground is fantastic.

“They want to build a new stadium and have a plan to achieve success. I want to be here for the new stadium.

“I love to work. My dream is to bring Everton to the top positions as soon as possible.

It has been rumoured Ibrahimovic could follow Carletto to Everton, but the former Napoli coach ruled out the prospect of a reunion on Merseyside.

“Zlatan is a good friend of mine, but I’ve coached a lot of top players,” he said.

“I don’t know what his plan is. Maybe I will have to call him to see if he wants to come to Liverpool… but not to play!”

On the other hand, Ancelotti said he was looking forward to linking up with Kean, having tried to sign the Italy striker for the Partenopei.

“Moise Kean did really well last year. I tried to sign him for Napoli,” he revealed.

“He is a really good player, with fantastic talent. He is 19 years old and there is an adaptation period.

“We will work with him to improve.”
