Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara is happy playing under Paulo Fonseca this season. “I feel the confidence of the coach and I’m not going to disappoint him.”
Diawara joined the Giallorossi from Napoli last summer, but had to wait a while before making his debut.
However due to Roma’s injury problems in midfield, Diawara has grabbed his chance and has been an automatic starter since the beginning of November.

However due to Roma’s injury problems in midfield, Diawara has grabbed his chance and has been an automatic starter since the beginning of November.
“Certainly Fonseca gave me a big helping hand. I arrived this summer and I had to wait a bit before starting to give consistency in my performances," the Guinean told Roma TV.
“In the meantime my teammates have helped me a lot. I feel the confidence of the coach. In fact, when I got injured he immediately sent me a text message and I’m not going to disappoint him.”
Diawara has made 11 starts in all competitions for Roma since joining.
