With that in mind, The Guardian and Calciomercato.com claim they have turned their attentions to Piatek.

Aston Villa have tabled a €30m (£25.5m) bid for the Pole, but Calciomercato.com states he is hoping to catch the eye of a bigger club.

However, The Guardian warns Spurs prefer a loan deal, which may not satisfy Milan or their objective of recouping the €35m they paid Genoa last January.

On the other hand, the newspaper writes how the 24-year-old could put himself in the shop window by impressing for the Londoners in the Champions League and thereby attract the Rossoneri better offers.

Despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return, CM and The Guardian both conclude Piatek is in no hurry to leave Milan.
