Sky Sport Italia claims the two clubs are on level pages after a short pit-stop resulting in rumours that a deal had fallen through.

The former Milan attacker had reportedly made himself available to Fiorentina, hoping to leave Wolves after only six months at the Molineux.

There have been issues regarding the transfer fee for the 22-year-old, but now the Italian broadcaster claims they are proceeding towards a rapid solution.

With previous reports claiming that the Wanderers want €22m for the striker, whilst Fiorentina were hoping to bring him on an initial loan and only willing to pay €20m for a permanent transfer.
