Sassuolo coach Roberto De Zerbi says his side must “analyse this defeat,” following their 3-0 loss to Udinese at the Dacia Arena.

The Neroverdi lost their third game in a row with the defeat in Udine, and find themselves slipping down the table.

“I’m sorry because we could have avoided defeat today, had we equalised, then we don’t know how the game might have ended up,” De Zerbi told Sky Sport Italia.

“Things have not gone well today. We must analyse this defeat.”

Sassuolo were missing several players for the game, with Domenico Berardi and Manuel Locatelli out through suspension, but De Zerbi doesn’t want to use that as an alibi.

“There are absences, they are heavy losses and some take a long time to recover. However today the team still could’ve done much better than it did. Everyone just has to take responsibility.

“As in all teams, there are some fundamental players and some who suffer a little in the event of absences.

“However, the game could also been brought back on track by despite not producing the best performance, as we missed several chances.”
