Murillo quits Samp for Celta Vigo

Valencia's on loan Sampdoria defender Jeison Murillo is set to join Spanish outfit Celta Vigo, after pulling out of a move to Galatasarary.

According to, the Colombian was close to agreeing a deal to move to the Turkish giants.

However the website states that the former Inter player got cold feet concerning the move due to the unstable political climate in the country.

Therefore Murillo pulled out of the move, and is instead signing for La Liga side Celta Vigo.

The 27-year-old signed for Samp on loan from Valencia last summer, but coach Claudio Ranieri has been left unimpressed with the defender’s performances.

Murillo has only played four minutes of football for the Genoese side since the turn of the year.

The defender played for Inter from 2015 to 2018, making 61 appearances in Serie A.
