Atalanta have announced that they’ve taken up their option to sign Duvan Zapata on a permanent basis from Sampdoria for a total €26m.
The Colombia international had joined Atalanta on a two-year loan in the summer of 2018 at a cost of €14m with option to buy for another €12m.
He scored 35 goals in 49 competitive games, despite missing the last three months with a serious thigh injury.
This morning, La Dea announced they had activated the option and would be making him a permanent signing.
