Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica confirmed Milan target Dani Olmo “won’t be risked, because we all know a transfer is being discussed.”

The 21-year-old Spain international was left out of the squad for a friendly and their tactician did not even try to disguise the reason.

“Olmo won’t play tomorrow. We all know a transfer is being discussed, although we don’t yet know where or when it’ll happen,” Bjelica said in a press conference.

“We don’t want to risk anything on behalf of the club and it might be a little unwise for him to play a friendly right now. In any case, he is in a good mood and training well.”

Sportske Novoste in Croatia continues to insist Dani Olmo is on the verge of a €30m transfer to Milan, whereas Sky Sport Italia, Sport Mediaset, Sportitalia and more are adamant the interest would only be for next season.

It’s believed Rossoneri director and Croatian football legend Zvonimir Boban is orchestrating the move.
