Italy legend Pietro Anastasi has died at the age of 71, having played for Juventus, Inter and the Nazionale.

Born in Catania in April 1948, the centre-forward had 25 senior Italy caps, scoring eight goals, winning the 1968 European Championship.

In his club career, Anastasi represented Massiminiana, Varese, Juventus, Inter, Ascoli and FC Lugano before his retirement in 1982.

He scored 107 goals in 339 Serie A games, winning three Scudetto titles with Juventus in the 1970s and the 1977-78 Coppa Italia at Inter.
