Inter are hoping to cash in on Valentino Lazaro for €21m, with Newcastle United, West Ham, RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen interested.

The 23-year-old Austria international had been purchased from Hertha Berlin in July for €22.5m, but has failed to make any impact on the team.

He contributed two assists in 11 competitive appearances, almost all of them as a substitute, as Antonio Conte does not see the left-sided wing-back as part of his plans.

Lazaro is considered to be error-prone and tactically distracted when defending, although he is much more effective when going forward.

Initially, the idea had been to send him out on loan in order to get more regular playing time, but the situation may well change.

Now there are reports in the Italian and English media that Newcastle United are prepared to pay €21m and that would sway Inter into a sale.

It’d then allow them to reinvest in other areas of the team, such as Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud.

They already have his replacement lined up, bringing Victor Moses in on loan from Chelsea, just six months into his Fenerbahce spell.

Newcastle are the most eager by far, according to The Sun, Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and more, but West Ham United, RB Leipzig and Werder Bremen are also options.
