Bayern Munich are said to be interested in bringing back Juventus’ Douglas Costa, according to German outlet Bild.
The Bavarians are in need of wingers following long-term injuries to Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman.
Costa has also been in and out of the Juve starting XI this season with his own injury problems.
However, German newspaper Bild suggests that the serial Bundesliga champions would like to take the Brazilian on loan for the remainder of the season.
This is after caretaker coach Hansi Flick consulted with the senators of the Bayern locker room, reported to be Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich, for their opinion on the 29-year-old.
Costa left Bayern for Juve in the summer of 2017 under a cloud, with then President Uli Hoeness suggesting the player ‘wanted more money’.
Maurizio Sarri is known to be an admirer of Costa, so it remains to be seen whether the Italian champions will let him go this month.
