Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims Barcelona offered €10m plus Ivan Rakitic for Federico Bernardeschi, but Juventus wanted double that.
There had been reports in Spain and Italy over the last few days of negotiations between the clubs for a Rakitic-Bernardeschi exchange deal.
However, it had been assumed the cash sum would be relatively small, perhaps even in favour of Barcelona.
Instead, Di Marzio maintains Barcelona proposed Rakitic plus €10m cash to take Bernardeschi to Camp Nou, but Juventus turned it down.
It’s reported the Bianconeri wanted at least €20m plus Rakitic to release Italy international Bernardeschi, even though he has fallen far down the pecking order in Maurizio Sarri’s team.
