Napoli had let him go on loan to Sampdoria last season and after zero minutes in Serie A for the Azzurri this term, they have decided to part with the defender.
He arrived at the Blucerchiati’s training ground this morning and has written a goodbye message to Napoli on social media.

“I greet you one by one, as is all of you were in a line right in front of me,” he wrote. “I leave you with the regret of not having given back the affection you have always shown me.

Tonelli played 20 games in his last stint at the Marassi and contributed one goal.
