Udinese have officially brought Marvin Zeegelaar back to Serie A on a new contract to June 2022, after an earlier loan from Watford.

The 29-year-old left-back had already played at the Dacia Arena on loan from January to June 2019 and returned to base.

After failing to make a single competitive appearance for Watford this season, it was decided to sell him to Udinese outright.

He has signed a new contract to June 2022, as the previous bond to Watford was due to expire in June 2021.

“We are very happy to have Marvin back and he is a player who will be precious for us,” director Pierpaolo Marino told the official Udinese website.

Zeegelaar will wear the Number 77 jersey in Serie A.

He made 12 competitive appearances for the Friulani during his six-month loan spell.

Watford and Udinese often do business, as they are both owned by the Pozzo family.
