French duo join Milan in Florentino race

Milan are interested in signing Portuguese midfielder Florentino Luis from Benfica, with French sides Nice and Rennes holding talks with the player, according to reports.

The 20-year-old was first linked with the Rossoneri in Portuguese newspaper Record.

This has now been confirmed by Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio.

Milan would like to sign Luis on loan, but Benfica would also like to insert an option to buy worth €50m.

However as of yet the Rossoneri haven’t tabled a bid for the player.

Record also states that French duo Nice and Rennes are interested in signing the player, and have held talks about the prospect of bringing Luis to France.

Luis has made 7 appearances in the Portuguese league this season, providing one assist.
