Roma right-back Davide Santon says there is regret at not winning the Rome derby, “the game was dominated by Roma.”
The second Derby della Capitale of the season ended in another draw, the first time both derbies have finished in a stalemate since the 2002-03 season.
Santon believes that the Giallorossi should’ve won the game.
“I think the game was dominated by Roma, we had prepared for the match well,” Santon told Sky Sport Italia.
“There is regret that a draw is the end result, we deserved the victory, but that’s how it went.”
The former Inter right-back states that their performance gives Roma confidence that they can cement fourth spot in the Serie A table.
“Yes, confidence is certainly high after a game like that, we played well and with the right attitude.
“We are in fourth place and we play all our games to win, the Champions League is a very important goal for us.”
Roma didn’t start brightly against Juventus last week, but the reverse happened this week, what changed?
“I think our attitude, because in a derby you can’t go wrong. We dominated everything, and as I said before, there is regret because we didn’t bring home the victory.”
