Sampdoria have completed the signing of Norwegian midfielder Kristoffer Askildsen from Stabaek Fotball.
The 19-year-old arrives from Eliteserien after playing 14 games in the Norwegian top tier last season and has signed with the Blucerchiati until June 2024.
“I was told about the interest on Thursday and arrived on Sunday,” he told Stabaek’s official website. “Everything went pretty fast. But all is well so far.

“It’s a step up from Eliteserien. I will have a nice arena to help my development and this is a very good opportunity for me.”
Morten Thorsby arrived from Heerenveen last summer and Askildsen revealed that it’s helpful to have his compatriot in the team.
“It’s much easier in the beginning, as I have someone to ask about anything.”

He’s looking forward to playing at the Marassi and said he will use the next six months to “adapt” to his new surroundings and prepare to fight for a place in the side next season.
“They want to develop me to become a complete player. When the summer arrives, I will be ready to compete for a place in the side. I will have some time to adapt and I don’t feel any pressure.”
